@juliette I just pre registered for a phone appointment with my PCP and it tried to force me to agree that they can share my private health information with whoever they want if they think there’s a good reason to.
It’s linked to the consent to treat and authorization to bill insurance in the two practices I have seen use it. I don’t know if it helps me but instead of typing my name in the signature line I type “I do not consent to HIE ever” (HIE is their acronym for Health Information Exchange)
At Dartmouth I couldn’t check in for my mammogram without “signing” it. It’s gross.
When I was using an HCA hospital more than a decade ago they still carried paper charts and they had to put a red piece of paper in mine so the staff wouldn’t send out referrals without my permission. (I was a DV victim and my abuser owned a chain of medical practices.)
The director of #DHMC in #Lebanon #NH came to Concord in the middle of her workday to testify in opposition of some really nasty anti-trans house bills, so DHMC in Lebanon is probably safe and supportive. She was great. I don’t remember the details but someone on the committee was asking weird leading questions they hoped would get her to say something that would make the transphobes go after her, and she saw what they were doing and she pushed back and provided testimony that refuted what they were trying to say without even letting them get their bullshit out.
She was pretty amazing. (The bar is in hell, but I liked her.)
Red Door, Old Greenhouse
Let's call this number 37 in the left to right of the currently hanging #DHMC show. I've posted this before on Mastodon. I don't remember thinking of it explicitly, but I now realize that besides carrying the red door forward, it also has that patina-of-time thing going on like the previous image.

Hi FYI some of the nurses at #DHMC in #Manchester #NH are VERY anti trans.
DHMC uses Zoom for telemedicine & now zoom uses your meetings to train AI.
I’m not sure if agreeing to allow your personal medical information to train AI opens you up to other privacy issues, but just be careful. I’m not trans and I don’t have kids but for some reason a nurse taking my vitals decided to soapbox against trans kids. And if she feels that emboldened to talk shit to a patient she has never met, who knows what they are doing with your data.

if zoom isn't going to let us opt out of them feeding our faces & voices & conversations into their LLMs, I'm going to very loudly & vocally stop using Zoom, & by loudly i mean "actively marshaling resistance w/in my university home departments & multiple affiliate organizations." Just sayin'.
