Today’s #pota was the good old #DE0261 Thörls Park + trails E1 and E9 #DE0558 and #DE0622.
The seasons are noticeably changing and it’s getting colder. 🍂🍁

@dj4ram convinced me to take out and use the #cw key instead of just leaving it in the backpack. 😅

The after-work #hamradio session with @DK4HAA, primarily to hunt @DL6PL in #DE0104 Hamburgisches Wattenmeer and #DE0133 Island Neuwerk, escalated to a full #POTA activation of #DE0261 Thörls Park on 40m.

Today’s #POTA mission was to get over my key fright.
I went out into my all too familiar front yard #DE0261 Thörlspark with trails #DE0558 and #DE0622 (E1 and E9) to do a #cw-only activation.
I started with 30m to get to 10 activated bands in those three references and then went to 40m and 20m.
Thankfully most hunters were very patient with me and adjusted their keying tempo.
With a lot of `agn?` and `partial call?` I got to 12 QSOs and resisted the urge to just switch to SSB.

I finally updated my QRZ page with a little more details about my setup, references to the vertical antenna I use most of the time and the mic splitter for multi-op activations, as well as some pictures from my "front-yard"-park #DE0261 Thörls Park.

Today’s #POTA was my home park Thörlspark #DE0261 with trails E1 #DE0558 and E9 #DE0622.
A few 10m contacts to the US and then some European 20m contacts.
And as the last QSO my very first #cw QSO with @DL6PL as a sked on 10m ground wave.

Some fellow portable operators had the idea of a low band activity for today. So @dc1tc, @DL6PL and I activated #pota #DE0261 Thörls Park exclusively on 160m and 80m. It was dark, it was cold. But we had a lot of fun! We built our antenna in the park: a behemoth dipole for 160m. It worked at the first try! With tuner even on 80m. In the end we made a lot of contacts to other Draußenfunker all over Germany!

Todays #POTA was 3fer Thörls Park (#DE0261) with E1 and E9 trails (#DE0558 and #DE0622). I brought my VHF/UHF backpack (FTM-6000) and got some local QSOs on 2m in the log. Used my T2LT-antenna in approx. 5m height on a mast. @dc1tc brought the HF station. In the end I got 44 QSOs in the log. We even got hunted from Indonesia!

Todays #POTA was Thörls Park in Hamburg and two more trails as a 3-fer: Fernwanderweg E1 and E9. I used my TX-500 with the PA500 Amp and the telescopic vertical. 14 QSOs in the log, a lof of Draußenfunker2Draußenfunker (DF2DF) and P2P. 40m and 20m.
Worked @dc1tc on his mini DXPedition to Neuwerk #DE0133.

It was a nice sunny late summer day. Although I have flu or something, it was nice to go outside. #radiotherapy

Tonight, I went back to #DE0261 Thörls Park with trails #DE0558 and #DE0622 for a quick after work #POTA activation. The bands weren’t the best, but I still got 13 contacts on 20m + one on 40m all across Europe in 1h 10m.

After I activated #DE0261 with trails #DE0558 and #DE0622 yesterday, @DL6PL basically forced my hand to get out again for some #POTA today. He activated #DE0806 Entenwerder, which was just added last night after I requested it.
I joined him in the park and got a total of 44 QSOs in.
I even had QSOs with 6 members of the #draussenfunker community to collect some #DF2DF.
