Another day, another Sandpiper; this time an unusual (for this time of year) Curlew Sandpiper in Devon. This 'un has been at Blaxton Meadow, Saltram nr. #Plymouth for a few days and it meant a lie in (compared to yesterday). Wader extravanza!

I nipped down to Bowling Green Marsh for this afternoon's high tide. Plenty of Black-tailed Godwit, a few Bar-tailed Godwit, Redshank. A nice surprise in the shape of four Avocet but the bird that gave me most pleasure was a Curlew Sandpiper - mainly because I was the one who spotted first 😊
