Blue Jays are considered part of the Corvid (crow/raven) family because they share high intelligence, complex social systems, similar beak structures, and similar behaviors, such as caching food. Despite being related, Blue Jays look blue, while most other corvids are black due to different evolutionary adaptations and feather structures.
