Animal Control brought us 19 cockatiels today, rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding case. More than 30 birds were crammed into one tiny cage, without sunlight, proper care, or relief from the constant stress.
They arrived trembling, exhausted, underweight and desperate for safety. They all have varying degrees of feather loss from long-term stress and neglect.
