#CrocusLawn update! We drove by our old place and that yard is COVERED in the first wave of blooms. It’s the third year over there, I think. I got super sad on my way home, but was greeted by a few first day blooms here. First year is rough. And the pest pressure is higher in this neighborhood. 🫤

Yellows bloom first. These are #CrocusRomance and a generic “yellow crocus”

Wowzers. Our #CrocusLawn is really coming in. 🤩 So far I’m only seeing #CrocusRomance. We should also expect to see Ruby Giant and Tommasinianus (tommies)

#chrysanthus

Last autumn we planted ~500 crocus bulbs in our lawn. They aren’t native, but they are early to rise. And as such are sure to bring us, and the #pollinators great joy as winter fades.

Finally we’re seeing some signs of life. C’mon #Spring! 😍
