Just finished watching #MartySupreme (2025) at my local #AMC.

It's about a fast talking, lying & scheming, double-dealing grifter & poser who happens to play a pretty good game of ping pong but who does everything else possible to sabotage himself & those around him.

There's a feel good ending which in context of Marty's shambles of a life only raises the prospect of more catastrophes to come for Marty & those close to him in the future.

#TimotheeChalamet (who plays Marty) & the movie are getting a lot of Oscar buzz & Chalamet just won the #CriticsChoiceAward for #BestActor for his performance, which I thought was frenetic & peripatetic, but the main reason I didn't like the movie is because it didn't entertain me. 🤔

It just puzzled & annoyed me because I couldn't make sense of it.

So, I'm giving it a 5 out of 10, which I'll stand by even if Chalamet & the film win a bucket full of awards, which seems likely to happen given the raves its getting. 🤷‍♂️
