Brilliant Venus is right of the moon. Jupiter is along the upper edge. Mercury is peeking from behind a cloud in the lower left corner.

The moon's earthshine stands out strongly because it's not yet bright twilight.

To the upper left of the moon are the bright stars Castor and Pollux of the constellation Gemini.

Three planets and the waning crescent moon in the morning sky.

The three planets are in a straight line that's tilted from vertical a bit. (And this line roughly shows us the ecliptic.)

The highest planet is Jupiter, below and to the right of the moon.

Below Jupiter, and brightest of the three planets, is Venus.

At the bottom, nestled next to a cloud wisp, is Mercury.

Left of Jupiter and Venus, near the edge of the frame, are the stars Castor and Pollux of the constellation Gemini.

Another work in progress: the Crescent Nebula (NGC6888). This data is also captured remotely in Romania under beautiful Bortle 3 skies. This H-alfa data consists of about 10h 15m of integration in total. Oxygen-3 is also captured but will process it into HOO first. 🙂 Captured using an ASI533MM Pro and Askar 71F.

Saturday evening's two-day old crescent moon in the twilight sky, some stars in the constellation Leo, and sometimes the distant mountain horizon.

Photography in twilight is a challenge because the sky colors, their saturation and brightness are changing by the minute. But it's also an opportunity because so many options are presented to you.

These four photos show choices in composition, and over time they show changes in lighting and color. They are not presented in chronological order.
