At 4pm today, the disgraced Craig Guildford retired (again - who does he think he is? Shahid Afridi or Tyson Fury?) and issued a statement that is staggering in its arrogance and selfishness.
Daniel Sandford's brief analysis is as damning in its way as Shabana Mahmood's eviscerating statement on 14th January.
As a Brummie, I say to Mr Guildford that he should leave Birmingham, take his selfish, arrogant attitude with him and never disgrace Birmingham or public life with his repellent presence ever again.

Craig Guildford still hasn't resigned? Clearly doesn't give a ๐ฉ about his career and reputation.
Hanging around like a persistent dose of the clap which just won't go away is exceptionally poor optics.
Guildford still hasn't resigned. Any good reputation he had left is now totally ruined.
I was going to have a practice session with my new set of darts but WMP claiming that they will "now work tirelessly to rebuild confidence" in them has me laughing so much I can't throw straight.
The issue is complex, the report and its revelations are damning, the lying and poor practice are exposed. It needs a whole lot more than a weak "apology".
First steps are for the Chief Constable and all involved in the AI and lying to go. Within the next 24 hours.
That would be a good start.
3 and a half hours have passed since Craig Guildford got slaughtered in the House of Commons. No sign of the Chief Constable doing the honourable thing.
Just a weak ass "apology" and laughable line from West Midlands Police - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c394zlr8e12t?post=asset%3Ae3d7cf3e-059b-4bd0-8951-c39a4e77cbc2#post
Chris Philp was predictably useless and wrong and got slapped down by Shabana Mahmood.
Now we're just waiting to see whether Chief Constable Guildford will do the right thing and resign or whether he will wait to be sacked by the Birmingham & West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.
This is an utterly brutal statement from Shabana Mahmood, Home Secretary.
Can't recall a statement this savage, this brutal and what should be career ending for Craig Guildford.
Never mind the slightly well done toast in by last post, Craig Guildford's reputation is toasted and roasted.
