Over the past six months, a legal threat from a copytroll called Copytrack has been hanging over my head, and only recently did I find out the claim was closed. Normally, I don't post work-related stuff here, and I have been looking for a place on Mastodon to post tech posts. But for now, I am posting my advice here should anyone search for Copytrack.

Il s'agit de copy trolling #Copytroll , pratique qui tend à se répandre de plus en plus. Des auteurs publient volontairement sans mention de licence puis mandatent des cabinets spécialisés dans ce domaine pour fouiller la toile à la recherche de leur production et proposer un arrangement à l'amiable avant d'entamer les poursuites judiciaires. Le but, faire peur pour que les gens payent. Mais le droit est de leur côté. Sans licence, l'oeuvre est protégée.
