Breakfasts got tastier when I learned I could make decent steamed egg custard in the microwave.

This is topped with equal parts soy and golden syrup (usually maltose syrup with the real thing), green onion, peanut and a tiny bit of sesame oil.

To make this just combine a cup of stock or dashi/prepared hondashi with two eggs and cover (i use a plate) and cook on 50% power until steamed through. Takes about 6 and a half minutes in my microwave.

The peanut is a new addition for me, I was watching some street food videos in Xi'an and saw a lady making them and adding peanut and shredded carrot on top which looked really good.

This is a treat on a cloudy, rainy morning and took me about 30 seconds to make.

Apologies that I took a couple bites before I took a pic.
