Worth it just for that.
Also, many lovely people and interesting presentations.
At #Continuum16, #c16Reboot the Australian science fiction writers con, and the main, constant lament seems to be that it's so difficult to get any traction as a new author, either through small press or self publishing. There are so many books!

LaurenThemself@GoodAaron As space shows go I actually started out with Red Dwarf and some of the times where a later series Star Trek episode bore similarities to a Red Dwarf episode that had been intended as a parody as something from TOS have made me so delighted. I'm sure it's been done to death online as I am so late to the fandom, but I'm planning to talk about it with my personal #StarTrek fandom elder, @lizbarr, at our local spec fic con #Continuum16 in May!
