  • 10:30 to 11 a.m.: Newcomer Welcome
  • 11 to 11:10 a.m.: Executive Introductions
  • 11:10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Department Breakouts
  • 1 to 1:15 p.m.: Executive meeting (all welcome)
  • 1:15 to 3 p.m.: Main ConCom meeting

The social media team will be doing short, three question volunteer interviews to be shared on Norwescon’s social media channels. If you are interested in participating please find Crystal Lloyd or listen for where the interview set up will be located at the meeting.

Location

This meeting is hybrid — you can join us in-person at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport (our host hotel; check the display boards to verify which room we’ll be in) or you can join us on Zoom (Zoom link TBA)! The Zoom room will be open by 1 p.m.

Travel Note: Southbound I-5 will have lane restrictions across the Ship Canal Bridge, please plan for delays.

Staff Photo

The staff photo will be taken directly after the staff meeting, probably around 2:30 or 3 p.m. Be there or risk missing it! This photo will appear in convention materials.

Post-Meeting Social

Our annual holiday party potluck will be held in the DoubleTree’s Presidential Suite (1360) from 3:30 (-ish; after the meeting ends and the photo is taken) until 9 p.m. Friends and family are welcome! We will provide heavy appetizers and non-alcholic drinks; please bring a dessert, appetizer, beverage, and/or anything special you want to drink or share.

Back by popular demand is our White Elephant book exchange! Bring a wrapped book or bookish item, tagged with the general genre. The gift exchange will start about 5 p.m.

This is it, the last ConCom (Volunteer) meeting before we throw a convention! Saturday, April 5th at the Doubletree in SeaTac. NOTE THE TIME CHANGE BELOW!

Our next ConCom (volunteer) meeting is Saturday, March 1st, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport (probably in Maxi’s at the top of the tower, but check the hotel display boards to be sure) or on Zoom.

  • 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.: Extra 30 minutes for department breakouts!
  • 1:30–1:45 p.m. (approx.): Executive meeting (all welcome)
  • 1:45 p.m. onward: ConCom meeting

The Youth programming track is looking for the following items:

  • Kid appropriate magazines for a vision board panel. This does not necessarily mean “kid magazines.”
  • Cardstock like cereal boxes and other thin cardboard.
  • Prizes for Easter – Things teen/tweens would enjoy. Craft kits, nice trinkets, new books, etc.
  • Toothbrushes (new).

Please bring to the April meeting or to the programming office in Cascade 1 by 10 a.m. Friday, April 18.
