In some faiths, #bathing is said to purify the person (the soul).

Today, I came across a #story about someone of such faith bathing in a way that left them "wetted but not purified by the stream".

That's a #funny but #effective way to convey the person's state.

PS: I found this story in a dictionary of all places, but sadly they don't cite the origin of the phrase.
