I was about to head out to the closest Home Depot, and it struck me again how deceptive the proximity was: because of how car-centric this area is, 0.4 km is actually 3.5 km on a bike.

Ended up going to a local hardware store on #CommercialDrive, and even though they didn't have exactly what I needed, they let me borrow their own tool for free 😊 very kind of them.

alas, the place I get a slice of pizza after swimming at Britannia pool caught fire today. 😭 I use to eschew it for tasting too healthy, but came around to it this year. hope they manage to come back from it.

When I purchased a copy of Rodney DeCroo’s new book Night Moves, featuring his street photography, I didn’t want to pay for shipping - so I came to Vancouver to pick it up directly! Okay - I had other reasons for coming here too, but after I don’t know how many years of being social media friends it was great to finally meet in person. We had a lovely chat on Commercial Drive.
