#Columbo season 5 episode 5 “Now You See Him” brings back my earliest memories of the show. I loved this episode as a kid, and it’s still wonderful today. It has a compelling case and also strikes some humorous notes, such as Columbo’s new jacket and the return of Sergeant Wilson. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
After the terrific season opener, the fifth season of #Columbo is not above mediocrity so far. #PeterFalk plays the character with his usual dedication and continues to add new facets, but the cases are not entirely convincing. Small pleasure in episode 3: Special Guest Appearance by #LeslieNielsen. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
After a longer break I continue with #Columbo. Season 4 doesn’t seem to be physically available anywhere, so I continue with Season 5. The first episode #ForgottenLady shows the series at its best. Great performances from #PeterFalk and #JanetLeigh, and once again amazing scenes shot in a single take. Moreover, the episode has a unique ending in the entire series. A fantastic start to a new season! — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
While you’re all watching One Piece, I’m still on #Columbo: in E3S7 #SwanSong, #JohnnyCash plays the antagonist. It’s a wonderful episode that shows a lot of Columbo’s investigative work. And the scene with the Undertaker - I don’t know if it’s scripted or improvised - it seems like the latter - is world class! — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
#Columbo S3E4 #DoubleExposure marks the third time #RobertCulp stars as the antagonist. As I noted before, I love seeing him as a villain. Naturally, I enjoyed this episode very much. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
#Columbo S3E2 #AnyOldPortInAStorm is another highlight of the series with outstanding performances by #PeterFalk and #DonaldPleasence. Their characters are perfectly pitched against each other and show wonderful chemistry as well. The elegant and spot-on direction is by #LeoPenn. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
@dorowski #Columbodon #Cinemastodon Might have to actually look up a torrent of Columbo for this 🤔
New season! #Columbo S3E1 #LovelyButLethal is a highly entertaining and visually rad episode with lots of Columbo’s amusing quirks, a miracle wrinkle cream, and a terrific cast starring Vera Miles, Martin Sheen and (drum roll) the one and only #VincentPrice. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
I’m a fan of the #Batman television series (aka #Batman66) and was happy to see #JulieNewmar in a supporting role in #Columbo season 2 episode 8. In the episode titled #DoubleShock, #MartinLandau plays both twins, and it’s one of the very few episodes where we do not know the identity of the murderer until the very end. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
#Columbo season 2 episode 4 #DaggerOfTheMind is a wild one, as it takes Columbo out of his native L.A. and brings him to London. Seeing Columbo in such a different place is a bit strange, but also welcome and a good reminder that the series has always been willing to experiment. — #CineMastodon #Columbodon
