Eric Branse-InstoneThis year is Anne Macintosh's (born of Clan Farquharson) 300th birthday, also known as Colonel Anne, who raised troops for the Jacobite cause in 1745. There is an excellent play about her at the Fringe next week. Reviews of the first night (yesterday) were very positive.
