Swansea eyebrow technician stars in new S4C reality show set in Zante
Angharad, 23, is among the contestants in Bar Hansh, a new S4C reality series which launches tonight (Friday, 24 October). The group will work together to keep the bar afloat in one of Europe’s busiest holiday resorts, with a £5,000 cash prize at stake.
But there’s a twist: each week the contestants must vote one of their number out, leaving the rest to carry on the challenge. Keeping a close eye on proceedings will be “boss” Ameer Davies‑Rana, who will decide whether the bar is a success.
Angharad, who describes herself as “chatty, confident and just a girly girl all over,” said she has “no shame” about throwing herself into the experience.
Angharad, a 23‑year‑old eyebrow technician from Swansea, is one of six contestants in S4C’s new reality series Bar Hansh. She is joined by:
- Nel, 20, a veterinary student from Llanuwchllyn, who says she is “annoyingly happy.”
- Rhodri, 21, from Penarth, a Swansea University graduate proud to “put Wales on the map.”
- Ryan, 29, from Anglesey, a florist and events business owner who admits he likes telling people what to do.
- Shay, 26, from Cardiff, a supply teacher and performer who says he’d “throw someone under a bus” to win.
- Tam, 25, from Llanllyfni, a bar manager who calls herself a “party animal.”
The series will also be accompanied by a vodcast, Codi’r Bar, hosted by Bala drag queen Actavia, who will dissect the drama from Zante with a range of guests.
Guto Rhun, S4C’s Young Audiences Commissioner, said: “This original format shows that S4C can compete with fresh and exciting content. With colourful characters and their action‑packed adventures abroad, the series is sure to grab audiences from the very first episode.”
Bar Hansh airs at 9pm tonight on S4C and will be available on demand via S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer.
