I just got sassed by my cockatiel Peppercorn when I told her it was bedtime. She made some 'sqwerk' sounds at me and didn't move to her usual spot like she generally does when I told her it was bedtime and went to cover their cage for the night. lol

She HAS been extra sassy lately.

Her sister just did her usual thing and stuck her tail up in the air. (no idea why she does this) I don't think she has gotten what 'night night' and bedtime mean yet??? I'm not sure.

Was half asleep and moved my foot. We had a bit of a night fright!

Checked on my birds, 99% sure it was Pepper who got spooked. I checked to make sure she was okay, pulled her out to give her some love, and things are good now, she's calmed down.

Only thing is I've been wide awake for like the last hour.

Going back to bed now though, I think I'm getting sleepy again.

I'm really not feeling very well mentally today. Thank goodness for my birds! We shared some toast. They make life more tolerable for me, they really do.
