(King in what would later be England, commanded the sea to stop rising.
It didn't.
There's an explanation, involving rebuking flatterers in his Court, which I don't think the index subject is prone to)

I was listening to an episode of #InnOurTimes about Knútur (#Cnut) and Dr Erin Goeres made me very happy by pronouncing the #OldNorse names with the trailing -r. Not Harald but Haraldr (or even Haraldur).
