I have new video in the works and the captioning is done... It's related to a Linux and Docker thing.
I'm tempted to try to learn more about the process from script to closed captioning to try to identify when an HTML encoding could have been introduced…
In the age of 'AI/ML will take your job' I am amazed at just how wrong auto captioning is, youtube, amazon and more. Especially of late it seems they lean into sounds more than word matches which fails brutally on anything not generic American.
Having said this, I'm not sure if this sound matching is better or worse in other languages. Anybody feeling anything about non-english auto-captions?

Huffpost needs to work on their closed captioning a wee bit. Or conversely, their in video text.
what good captioning services are there that have real, fairly-paid humans doing the captioning?
Nice to know that even presidential candidates are not above being aggressively over-censored by puritanical #ClosedCaption policies.
I find it outrageous and incredibly offensive how often subtitles are censored.
I've experienced it on broadcast TV. On Amazon. On YouTube. And elsewhere.
Deaf people do not need swear words hidden. Those of us with hearing loss don't suddenly decide, "Ah, yes, because I can't hear fully, I don't want to experience swearing anymore."
Stop censoring our content!
Any #accessibility, #inclusivedesign, or #ux peeps know of any research whether #closedcaptions should be on or off by default? Please note that I don't want your *opinion* unless it's backed by research. Thanks!
