Interesting description of heteroresistance to piptaz, but from a highly monitored patient in a clinical trial. And was not associated with treatment failure Most patients don't have post-antibiotic microbiology samples, so maybe this happens commonly (& inconsequentially) #IDSky #ClinMicro #UTISky

We do quite a lot of antibiotic self administration in OPAT. Massive win if it can be achieved - lower requirements on hospital / community nurses & big autonomy win for the patients and their families. #OPAT #IDSky #ClinMicro
