@Qldaah
Simon who funds climate 200 supports the diesel fuel excise for farmers, where our biggest farmer is Gina.
Simon's family is also doing great, buying 11 live animal export ships at around 150 million each:

@Qldaah What Adam Morton/The Guardian don't mention is that taxpayers subsidise fossil fuel at $8bn. Aside from mining, agriculture is also responsible. Who are the biggest landholding farmers in Australia?
The QLD government, along with Gina Rinehart, Andrew Forrest, Murdoch + Holmes a Court families. Yes, climate200 support diesel for Australia's richest farmers + carbon credits via farms.

Australian taxpayers subsidise Big Mining’s use of fossil fuel to the tune of $4bn a year. It’s a strange way to tackle emissions

Given the scale of its contribution to global heating, the world’s biggest miner has a duty to invest heavily in solutions that could have a global impact

Today's news has supported my fears of a so-called '#Independent ' party.
I quite liked Turnbull as a decent Liberal, but the fact he is getting involved should show you where this could lead. Look up the history of Allegra Spender's family. She comes from old UAP /Nationals stock.

Quote from wiki re Zali Steggall

'Steggall also opposed the changes to capital gains tax, franking credits, and negative gearing that were being proposed by the Labor opposition under Bill Shorten, and argued for lower taxes on small businesses."

I am not saying they are bad people but definitely lean to Right, even though #Teals were formed to basically fight for Renewables as opposed to fossil fuels. I supported #Climate200 and Teals came through that.

Two genuinely strong Independents, Monique Ryan and Helen Haines have refused to join a party as they stood as Independents and represent what their community wanted.

I am sorry David Pocock has leaned in to this party idea and abandoning genuine 'Independence'.

Nevertheless, if it happens I will be very interested in how they eventually vote and, more importantly, where each candidate or their new party, directs their preferences.

I also agree w @emmadavidson that the closest to my political feelings nowadays are the #Greens and they will be getting my primary vote from now on.
And all due respect Paul, to you personally, but think I have had enough of this discussion for now as I find it very, very depressing and frankly terrifying that Australia is heading down a fascist path and that hateful racist extremists are gaining strength worldwide. Nearly 85 yrs old now and have seen enough and know the history.

"We're part of a vital global protein trade, and tens of millions of people around the world rely on this fleet to help secure their food supply," he said.

Simon Holmes à Court's brother Paul, trying to make live animal export and supplying McDonalds in 190 nations sound like a noble pursuit.

Australia = more methane via 26 million cattle than from fossil fuels.

Australian company Heytesbury buys mega fleet of 11 live export ships

Owned by the Holmes à Court family, Heytesbury runs 165,000 head of cattle in northern Australia and has just struck a deal with Vroon to buy its ships.

Fascinating how that climate focussed family is *checks notes* buying 11 fossil fuelled powered ships for live beef exports. Live beef exports being the thing that right wingers get frothing at the mouth in parliament to vote for:

Fascinating too, how in Australia, raising and exporting beef is the work of climate saviours who are loved with sporting team fervour.
