We have always made a #habit of #eatingout on a #Friday evening. Since our house move this has often at a #pub in the neighbouring village of #Hemsby #Norfolk

Those in the #uk will be aware that the #coast is moving rapidly inland there and with each new #storm more #clifftop #houses are lost to the #sea

I wonder what message the #landlord has in mind with a poster on the restaurant wall that reads:

Memories Made On The Beach Last A Lifetime

Civita di Bagnoregio stands on a rock in Lazio, in central Italy. It’s also known as „the dying town” because that rock is very slowly falling apart. It has been established by Etruscans ages ago - they used to establish them on hills, tops of mountains. You can find many of such places across the country. It is said that the tunnel that can get you to the town from the bottom of the valley that sorrounds it was carved by Etruscans as well.
It is a remarakable place, a must-see if you’re close. There are some restaurants and cafes, some shops and museums. Overall it’s a quiet and unique place.

Civita di Bagnoregio, the “dying city,” clings to a crumbling cliff in Lazio. Founded by the Etruscans over 2500 years ago, it’s reached today by a lone pedestrian bridge. With its medieval lanes and timeless views, it feels suspended between earth and sky.
It is a remarakable place, a must-see if you’re close. There are restaurants, cafes, shops and museums.

I’m out at a happy place. I have never met a single soul here. The dog and I have it to ourselves. It’s not on the way to anywhere and it’s not a destination. I’ve said before that it restores the spirit and relieves stress; not that I have a great deal of stress in my life. I hope you can feel the calm…

Another drone experiment, today at the #Clifftop garden in Ceredigion. Low, bright, early morning sun, the shadows are too harsh for much detail. I shall return on a cloudy lunchtime with diffuse light. The clients are lovely, so passionate about #gardening

I went to visit the #Clifftop #garden today, one I designed a few years ago. Clients have done a lovely job extending and tending it. A truly lovely space 😍
