Wohl kein Cyberangriff auf Wahldaten in Münster
It is rumored that a #DDoS attack happened during the local #elections of the city of #Münster, and surrounding regions. #WDR reports that a bunch of IP addresses send millions of requests. I was not able to check the results myself on the official platform #citeq.
Have not seen any claims from a threat actor yet. It feels like NoName's signature, but I did not see any C2 updates that target Citeq's servers. Curious to read an update from the city's IT soon.
Ok, so I'm not working on Wikipedia anymore. I'm working on Wikidata and specifically on the "Cite Q" system.
Do I have to be working on Wikipedia when I work on Cite Q.
The simple answer is "no".
The more complex answer takes into account "you".
Many of you are active on Wikipedia and you may have a good or bad opinion about Cite Q.
A good opinion people might have is "re-use". Another one: Copy and paste is facepalm! 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️

One moment...I won't work on opinions...I never did. That's uncharted territory for me.
9. Actually adding it for "extremely vetted" Wikipedia users to make use of this reference in the languages where the consensus is not against Cite Q.
https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=User%3AJournalisticape&diff=2302780564&oldid=2302750119
It is possible that no Wikipedias are against Cite Q but the tools available may be so limited that Cite Q is "practically useless" for many Wikipedia users.
I hope not though! It is possible this may be seen as venting, it might be venting.
In such a case I should improve!
Now you are thinking: "Well you stopped editing on Wikipedia, so how is Cite Q still relevant?"
Well, my thoughts are these. Cite Q is a good idea! It's about re-use. Of course the right Wikipedia tools do not exist yet for Cite Q so unfortunately Wikipedia users are not privileged to being able to use it but I think Wikidata users are going to benefit.
The largest CC0 database in the world, that's something! Wikidata even adds obituaries! 👍
Based on oldid 1271683240 on enwiki "Nintendo Switch 2", yesterday I added the "Cite Q" for references #25 and #36(both references by the publication "Video Games Chronicle")
This is the oldid:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nintendo_Switch_2&oldid=1271683240
Amount of matches with "Wikidata" on oldid 1271683240:
12
Yesterday I added Cite Q for reference 8 and 10 from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Switch_2
Amount of matches with "Wikidata":
10
"History: Cite Q for reference 4" was my edit summary on enwiki.
What did I add?
This:
Nintendo Switch is officially the third-best-selling console of all time (Q131840836)
{{Cite Q}} forever! Cite Q rocks! Then you can also see their use on other Wikipedias and places! So cool!
So with other words: yesterday I created 1 WD item and put it on enwiki.
That's progress and even though I want more...I'm content with this.
