And I just accidentally rewound the stream to the beginning of the gala, and an additional small screen shows two commentators describing what's happening. I suppose that's what I'm hearing on all the CNR radio stations as well, incl. on #shortwave #ChineseNewYear #ChineseNewYearGala #Chunwan

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! 😱 Provincial & local stations may also carry the Gala! On #shortwave alone, you'll find it on Xizang PBS & Qinghai PBS, Chinese Comprehensive channels. But not on Xinjiang PBS. There's also Nei Menggu PBS on 7420 but too weak here. #ChineseNewYear #Chunwan

Just ran a huge monitoring of CCTV, CGTN & CNR streams exploring their crazy multi-simulcasting effort in broadcasting the CMG #ChineseNewYear Gala aka #Chunwan. In total I found 7 of 17 CCTV channels and 7 of 17 CNR stations carrying the Gala 😮 www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG7x...
