I thought a flower with a name like Christmas Bush would flower around Christmas - until I checked the EXIF data - the photo was taken in April! The plant is called New Zealand Christmas Bush - so maybe New Zealand celebrates Christmas at a different time to us?

What plants signal the start of the festive season?
In New South Wales it's ๐˜Š๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ ๐˜จ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ, commonly known as the NSW #ChristmasBush. this evergreen kicks off end of cold with sprays of white flowers followed by deep red #calyxes in warmest weather.
