Songwriter Chris Eaton was from about three villages away, and was an occasional visitor to the various youth activities arranged by the village church.

It was a bit of a local story to hear that "our Chris" had sold a song to Cliff Richard, and not much of a surprise when we heard it - a year later - and found that it was really quite decent.

Chris Eaton's biggest song would turn out to be "Breath of heaven", made famous the following year by Amy Grant.
