My least popular game by far is Cell Sword. Totally tanked unfortunately.
But part of me really wants to bash out a sequel.

What do people think about Cell Sword? Is it worth doing a new version? I feel like it's got potential but I'm too close to the game to see the blind spots
Cell Sword is a month old and with a bit of distance I'm seeing the structural choices that I wasn't fully in authorial control over (ie my blindspots).
For example, I wish I had been brutally curt and not allowed upgrades between missions.
There's something beautiful and pure about cold starts and it would've suited this game.
Just kind of sharpened the focus on the player's ability and the game's frenetic aspects and also made level design easier.
Provoking this reaction in friends and family is what gets me out of bed in the mornings
