After breakfast at the Hampton Locarno, we visited the UNESCO listed Bellinzona Fortress. We returned to Locarno, visited the lakefront area, and had an excellent dinner.

The Fortress of Bellinzona
After breakfast at the Hampton Locarno, we took the train over to Bellinzona where we visited the three castles that comprise the city's UNESCO listed fortress and walked through the historic city. Afterwards, we returned to Locarno where we visited the lakefront area and had an excellent dinner.
Peter ParrotBefore catching the train this morning, we spent a bit of time exploring a castle. Unlike the castles I've visited at home in Wales, the stone walls were all there!
