Only 17 cars started the E-Prix with #MahindraRacing & customer team #ABTCupra forced to withdraw from the E-Prix due to "rear suspension safety concerns.
In a statement, Mahindra said "a thorough investigation on the suspension elements of the Mahindra #M9Electro race cars will take place on the teamโs return to the UK."
#JaguarRacing's Sam Bird also did not start due to damage from a crash with Edoardo Mortara from qualifying.
#FormulaE News: #Porsche Formula E's Antonio Felix Da Costa has won the inaugural #CapeTownEPrix on what turned out to be another action packed race.
Starting from 11th, an audacious move by Da Costa late in the race on Vergne cemented victory on what would be his 101st career E-Prix start.
NISMO's Sacha Fenestraz started from pole but was hit from behind in the later stages.
Vergne gets 2nd & Nick Cassidy rounded out the podium in 3rd.
