A campaign of #genocide against the #Xhosa people began on #ThisDayInHistory in 1852. British troops marched through the eastern edges of #CapeColony, burning all crops & settlements, and seizing the animals. Its goal was starvation as a tool of conquest. Fuck the #BritishEmpire.
The only genocide against whites in #SouthAfrica was by another white group and began #ThisDayInHistory in 1900 when #Kitchener arrived in #CapeColony to suppress #Afrikaner resistance to British rule. 160,000 were placed in #ConcentrationCamps and a sixth of the population died.
