This is a sort of halfway house in canvaswork - based on a painted canvas of a painting by Constable, but with the figures done using different stitches and threads to bring them to life in a more "stitchy" way. I did this fairly recently, but it's something I encourage people to consider as a way to stretch their stitching without having to leap straight into designing the lot.
I was going to use #TurkeyWork for the central boss of the #CanvasworkParterre, but my book tells me it is unsuitable for mono canvas.
Therefore, following the advice they offer, I am using #SurreyStitch instead.
