Despite some plot holes and moments of unbelievability, casting, and performance is top notch, and brought a surprising empathy to characters that are otherwise too often drawn as forgettable one-dimensional story fodder. Thumbs up. Side note: I haven't seen #WilliamBaldwin in anything for a long time, but he was amazing in this.
Saw #CandyLand (2022), an #Indie #Horror #Slasher film, this weekend, It centers on the grisly fates of sex workers operating out of a remote American Southwest truck-stop, and has no association with the childrens' board game. The amount of story and character development in its 93 minute runtime while also making it an emotionally engaging slow burn is impressive....
