A band that I have been very passionate about since the beginning.
Slip was one of those pivotal, mind-blowing albums for me as a kid, and by the time Manic Compression followed, I was fully obsessed.

So, 22 years later, when I heard they were back and making a new record, I was very nervous. In my mind, their track record was perfect, and I didn’t want anything tarnishing it.

Quicksand 2.0 has been awesome.
They’ve given us two really good records, of which Distant Populations is the second, and one I like just a smidge better than Interiors.

Either way you cut it, they’re still Quicksand.
Just 25 years later, enjoying a fruitful second act.

On a side note, this is also my favorite album cover/art in a very long time.
Just AWESOME.
