#CanCon23 was fantastic, and I loved it, and I need to take a second to (a) thank them for the masking mandate and (b) share with you all the sheer *magic* of the nametag:
(With apologies for post-Con gravel-voice).
Sunday; ~10 hours of sleep, then a lovely time #cycling with @TAV around #Ottawa. It's interesting; when I cycle with her, my heart rate is low for doing an activity (~83 BPM), when then seems to have an effect on the deepness of my sleep that night. Will see if tonight adds to that data set. 🤔
Also popped into #CanCon2023, said hello to a few friendly faces and carried back TAV's book haul.
Highly enjoyed #CanCon2023, esp the gender-neutral bathrooms and quiet recharge room. Also all the excellent presenters, volunteers, and attendees, of course. Special shoutout to the Halloween candy. I know there's another full day of con, but @RyanChartier and I are headed home on the train tomorrow. Not bad for my first Can*Con!

I also am a little "hungover" from yesterday evening. Not from alcohol, just that fun chronic fatigue. Know that I find the long paused between words when I speak as annoying as you do. Apparently my brain is having a hard time parsing the excellent input from every direction here and it's slowing down my cognition significantly.
If you run into me in person today, please know that I don't have COVID, it's just that the air in the place I'm staying is DRY and as a result EVERYTHING irritates my throat to the point where I cough constantly because talking makes it tickle. Sorry!!
