Interestingly, that is, however, a valid description of what the Calendar (New Style) Act of 1750 did for calculating the date of #Easter, where the British government specified the lookup tables that are used in England and "any other of the dominions or countries subject or belonging to the crown of Great Britain".
Even more interesting is the 1999 attempt to bring the 1928 Act into force, failing in the face of the argument that it solves a non-problem, those same tables from 1750 providing commercial predictability (the major argument for change) until the year 2199.

Just imagine: if we changed the calendar to have 13 28-day months, the leap day could be a holiday. Not part of a month, just a special holiday day.
And as a bonus, the 365th day of the year could be like that too.
Also, the date and day of week would not shift like they do now, e.g. every 3rd would be a Wednesday. And with all these changes, we could move month names around so September thru December are actually the 7th to 10th months.
In a few hours, it will cease to be 2023 and become 2024. Unless, of course, you live in a country like Iran or Ethiopia that doesn't use the Gregorian calendar. Or you live in a timezone further east than UTC+7, in which case it's already 2024 for you.
