Ahead of National Girl’s and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), the Connecticut Sun Foundation kicked off its celebration for NGSWD by sponsoring tickets for young girls and their families, from the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford, to attend today’s UConn vs. Butler women's basketball game. All girls and their families received tickets to the game and a special edition NGWSD t-shirt. For some girls, this was their first time attending a women’s basketball game. The Connecticut Sun and the Connecticut Sun Foundation are proud to have played a small part in an experience that these young girls and their families will remember for a lifetime.
