and why having these conversations with our family, friends, colleagues & neighbors is important. We can push for better COVID messaging from the CDC and local government AND move the needle person by person.

I will say, this friend has not decided to start masking again nor taken any additional precautions. But increasing people’s awareness of the consequences of COVID is the first step, and worth doing even if it doesn’t immediately result in changed behavior.
