It's #hedgehogs season, and my bull terrier shows utmost aggression only toward them - he's unresponsive to cats, annoying children, and humans.
Tonight, the little one escaped only thanks to my swift reaction - as I saw my dog frantically change direction in the dark, I knew something was up, so I pulled on the leash. When the jaws snapped (he doesn't bark or growl), I feared I was too late, and horrified went through a gallery of local cats, fearing the worst. However, I saw the hedgehog going away.
There was no blood on nose, and only one spike stuck between the teeth, meaning this one got away just barely... By the skin of Lemmy's teeth.
