#BuildingBridges There's always been a small log across Bush Creek to stop you getting your feet wet, but it is disintegrating and won't last another winter.

A large willow blew down a couple of months back, just a few meters down from the old log. A couple of hours with the #chainsaw, and voila! A bridge that should last a while.

Cutting the stump end took some thought, because it was going to slump 30cm or so, and done wrong could have trapped the chainsaw bar pretty effectively. But I got it right, and added a nice step to ease passage.
