#Anko branded items combined to keep the dust out and heat in for #BuildersTea.

Kmart back around the start of Covid-19 went slightly #Australiana. The #Kookaburra cup being one of a series.

The grey lid is what remains of an Anko squat square sided 4-cup #Teapot that received a mortal blow in the dishrack. 😟

Neither item is made from low-heat-transfer ceramic.

Two gaiwans on a work bench…

My version of “builders tea”, they are perfect for keeping the dust out!

For me, Gaiwans are the in-betweens of tea. They are not bowls and not teapots. You can use them to drink from. I have lovely memories of doing so in a tea garden in China, but you can also use them as a teapot to explore more of the complexity in the leaves… they don’t excel at either of these tasks but sometimes you just want to use one

These have a simple ash glaze and have been fired to cone 10 in oxidation

My Nordic body likes when it's finally properly cold. Biking to work in -8 C and afterwards a cuppa of builders' tea 💙 Oh boy 💙

@tfb @TerryBernstein @tea Agree with both of you. #Greentea should be steeped with care and the water should not be too hot, but hey, give me a strong #blacktea any time... 😆 #Builderstea in the morning is the best for me.
