Because I did some prior residency in internal and emergency medicine, I have 6 months of one-on-one with a cardiologist, an electrophysiologist and a CT surgeon. So I'm prepared.

The 8 other actually new docs in my program have a nonmedical story from this tech as their ONLY exposure to cardiology for the next 3 years and beyond into real practice

This just isn't ok.

I finished this book today, and I highly recommend it.

Basically what they say in the advertising is true: it's a blueprint of everything wrong with the current health care system in the U.S.

It talks about pharma, hospitals, doctor's fees, lobbying--a real 360 of the situation.

My only complaint is too many of the proposed solutions are individual focused.

I found out today that my friend, who is fighting for her life in a major hospital in a large city has gotten NO nutrition for several days because there are no nutritionists during the holidays. She has gotten fluids and vitamins but no nutrition. WTF?!?!?! #BrokenHealthcare
