Opposing Force is back, and we’re bringing you MACE and DAMBE, two very dope, very young bands who you should be familiar with at this point. If not, come see what the GTA new gen is all about.

Joining them are Halifax’s own BREAKNECK. Embarking on a fully-DIY tour from the Maritimes, we are very excited to welcome them to Toronto.

Rounding out the lineup are Endnote flag-bearers THE MONEY, and 905 troops SUSPEND.

All of this is going down on at 7PM on Sunday, May 3rd at the No No Room on Dundas near Ossington. $15 cover, this is a 19+ event.

#Breakneck book sounds like Blitzscaling in its obtuse belief in speed and scale now as tho people in the past had not both tried both and realised the damage of both. The modern societies of laws and regulations embody the experiences. Like the ECHR embodies the viscerality of death camps.

Breakneck is an endless runner, where you fly a ship that feels like a cross between a pod-racer and a landspeeder.

It is, quite obviously, a mobile game ported to PC.

The visual design and landscapes of the game are very well done, with a post-apocalyptic sci-fi feel.

That's pretty much the only good thing I have to say about it.

Avoid obstacles, but fly close to them to charge up the ship boost, collect coins, try to reach the end of the level without being "caught" by a pursuing ship, or hitting something.

There is no reverse on this ship, so sometimes you just get stuck, and wait to die.

This game is a just pure grind, with no reason to keep playing, and very much a clock-watcher.

I hoped I hadn't paid for it, but turns out I bought it on a discount for $3.99. For reference, the Steam refund policy is less than two hours playtime, within *14 days* of purchase, so at least something of value came out of playing this game.

#FormulaE is partnering with Radar Pictures and 8th Gear Entertainment to bring the electric racing series in a new action film called #Breakneck.

According to #Variety, the film will centre the story around an orphaned female racing driver trying to make her way back in the series by... becoming a heist getaway driver (a la Ryan Gosling in "Drive") to raise enough funds to get a seat.
