🌟 When art stops you in your tracks and makes you think twice… this is it.
Meet “Seja Luz” (Be Light) by the legendary Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra — a breathtaking reimagination of Rodin’s The Thinker glowing inside a massive lightbulb. Vibrant colors explode across the muscular form, symbolizing illumination, creativity, and hope even in our darkest moments (this powerful piece was born during the pandemic as a reminder to seek and be the light).
Tucked in the sophisticated Jardins district of São Paulo, right near the iconic Avenida Paulista / Brigadeiro area, this towering mural turns an ordinary wall into a burst of inspiration. The perspective shift from street level is unreal — one moment you’re looking up at a contemplative giant, the next you’re pondering your own bright ideas. 💡🧠
Kobra never disappoints: bold, colorful, meaningful, and impossible to scroll past.

Hélio Oiticica (Portuguese: [ˈεlju ɔjtʃiˈsikɐ]; July 26, 1937 – March 22, 1980) was a Brazilian visual artist, sculptor, painter, performance artist, and theorist best known for his participation in the Neo-Concrete Movement, for his innovative use of color, and for what he later termed "environmental art," which included Parangolés and Penetrables, like the famous Tropicália. Created mostly in 2008, this collection comprises over fifteen musically inspired compositions, born from the landscapes of Lagamar—the vast interior bay of Paranaguá/Guaraqueçaba, where shifting tides carve navigable paths through the lush Atlantic Forest.

In these pieces, I arrange vegetation like harmonic chords, blending the textures of water, forest, and clouds into a visual symphony. The series is a testament to how a body of work can reveal a subtle, collective beauty—one that emerges more powerfully when the drawings are seen together rather than individually.

Each piece carries its own quiet elegance, presenting an open, serene panorama where the rippling water plays a key role. Yet the true focus rests on the delicate fringe of forest lining the bay’s flooded edges—an understated detail that becomes profoundly moving in context.

When exhibited together in Japan in 2008 (the only time the full series was shown), the grandeur of the panorama became strikingly evident. The interplay between the slender strips of land and the vastness of the water created a breathtaking sense of scale—one that lingers in memory.

Today, all original drawings from the series reside in private collections, with the largest piece held in the permanent collection of the Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON). As a result, FINE ART PRINTS ARE NOW THE ONLY WAY TO REUNITE A GROUP OF THESE WORKS —and to recapture the immersive beauty of Lagamar’s expanse through a curated set.
