Born Ruffians - Beauty’s Pride

Named after a bicycle (of course), this new LP hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves, at least here in the states (they’re Canadian).

Born Ruffians have put out tons of good music, and this album is tilting a bit more psychedelic/synth than previous, more indie/guitar sounding records. It sounds a bit joyful, likely due to the birth of guitarist/chief songwriter LaLonde’s child… overall a great effort.

Didn't want to wait for the record to listen to this, the latest from Toronto's Born Ruffians.

Hard to believe it's been nearly 20 years since they were formed, but they've changed a lot over them. This is probably their most melodic album, and least guitar-focused.

Well worth your time!
