Ok, so I’ll need to drop into Impact Comics tomorrow to order #Bofuri Volume 3.

Volume 2 was very much “Sally is JUST as broken as Maple, just in a different way”. You can see the genesis of the Maple Tree Guild in this volume (although that won’t actually happen until volume 3, possibly 4)

Chortle. So I’m reading volume 2 of #bofuri and at the start of chapter 2 we have: “If an attack could actually damage Maple, nobody else survive it. There was no use worrying about monsters <em>that</em> strong.”

Besides, #Bofuri Vol 2 might well have a quotable moment like this one from Vol 1:

“If Sally was in front, she could detect danger ahead.

But if she missed a threat, she might well end up dead.

Maple, on the other hand, could walk headfirst into a trap and break the trap instead.”

If so, I don’t want to miss it…

I might have to go for a walk this afternoon. It seems that the copy of the #Bofuri LN Volume 2 I ordered arrived at #ImpactComics in #Canberra.

And I wouldn’t want it to feel lonely or abandoned, that’s no way to treat a book…

In that respect, #TheAngelNextDoorSpoilsMeRotten is probably the weakest of the light novels I’ve been reading recently. There’s certainly not the page turning energy of #RollOverAndDie, the fun of #Bofuri, or the solid character work of #RealistHero.

@apc #animangafoundit I like the combined end of in-game event and Christmas/New Year’s party that the Maple Tree guild throws where they’ve also invited some of their rival guilds. They seem to be having a lot of fun, especially after they all open the presents from the in-game event!
