@dewittehaas It's such a great joy to see eryngias in coastal dunes. I don't know where this is but have encountered them on the north Norfolk coast.
@davidpnice hi David, yes, they are wonderful. This is the Eryngium maritimum located on the east side of the island Schiermonnikoog. We have a lot of it here. Really beautiful. Hares eat the plant's roots in winter when there is not much else to eat.
