Big Wild is singer, composer, and producer Jackson Stell, whose dance oriented electronic music is driven quite a bit by his indie instincts, though it also overlaps with synth pop to some extent. The result is a type of uptempo pop that is anchored to powerful grooves and catchy melodies. That said, he also turns the dial towards a more wistful, romantic style without losing much of the beat, which creates some contrast against the underlying longing tone that the tune suggests. He typically builds his songs around multiple layers of synths, but guitars and other conventional instruments are also part of his sonic palette.
