Feeling a bit tired this afternoon my husband wanted to take me to a bottle shop he found on Canning Hwy in #Bicton. I didn’t want to but he had picked up this wonderful South African white yesterday and i wanted a bottle to share with my parents so i dragged my grungy yellow short wearing, overweight arse out to the car for him to drive me there.

We get there and make our way to the shop and there was a butcher next door and i said let’s look at that first. I vaguely saw a nice dressed guy outside the wine shop chatting with people but took very little notice. After checking out the butcher i stalked past this nice guy who my husband said hello to and there was a woman inside who wanted to share a wine tasting. I told my husband to handle this, as i wasn’t in the mood for wine tasting, and i started wandering around trying to find this wine. After checking every shelf and not being sure of the name and stuffing up whether it was a chablis or chenin blanc I approached the lovely guy who was now behind the counter and asked for his help. I was polite.

After much confusion and me asking my husband the name of the wine this lovely guy took me straight to the bottle and i picked up 2 and told the nice guy they were fantastic and took them to the counter where i paid for them. Rounded my husband up and we were off.

My husband at dinner with my parents later told me that the people the nice guy was talking to outside were interviewing him. There was a woman inside taking photos, she was in front of the fridges and it annoyed me a little because i was trying to find this wine. I did not barge in front of her, i restrained myself. I really didn’t register anything and i’m a bit embarrassed by my Karen moment BUT i think the owner, nice guy, will forgive me because i bought over $120 worth of wine.

I told my husband he really shouldn’t have taken me today.

P.S. the wine was still fantastic.
P.P.S. i only have one indulgence and hobby and that is wine so i don’t buy expensive clothes or shoes and i’m on a fasting diet which isn’t that bad.
